Welcome to BlairBibleBlog.org, My name is Chris Blair. I am a Learner of Jesus Christ. I am a husband to one wife and a father to four children. I was baptized in water at age 18 shortly after I joined the United States Army Infantry. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit just over twenty years later! I, like every man, am a hopeless sinner in desperate need of the grace and mercy of GOD every day! My current occupation is Registered Nurse. I am the sole designer and editor and primary content creator of BlairBibleBlog.org
(…My personal testimony page is in progress…)
My core beliefs as a Protestant Christian:
Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone): The Bible is the sole infallible source of authority for Christian faith and practice, superseding church tradition or papal decrees.
Sola Fide (Faith Alone): Justification (being made right with God) is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through human effort or good works.
Sola Gratia (Grace Alone): Salvation is an unmerited gift from God, granted by His grace rather than earned by any personal merit.
Solus Christus (Christ Alone): Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity; salvation is found in His sacrificial death and resurrection alone.
Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone): All of life and salvation is intended for the glory of God alone, rather than for the exaltation of any human institution or individual.
Priesthood of All Believers: Every Christian has direct access to God through Christ and does not require a human priest to mediate for them.
The Trinity: Believing in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Nature of the Church: The “true church” is the invisible body of all believers across time, rather than a single earthly organization or hierarchy.
Baptism: The symbolic act of obedience for those who have already made a personal profession of faith, representing the believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection through full immersion in water.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit: The once-for-all act at the moment of salvation where the Holy Spirit unites a believer to the body of Christ and seals them for eternity.
Holy Communion: partaking in the bread and the fruit of the vine serves as a memorial of Christ’s death and an anticipation of His second coming.
